Silverstone Interactive Museum

We took a trip to The Silverstone Interactive Museum for fathers day this year. Great day oot but I only took my mobile phone this time rather than carry the heavy camera and bag about. Testimony to my S20 FE that the pics are as good as they are….

There was plenty to see and do – with a nice 3d film at the end, and I didn’t think the costs were too bad either. COVID rules followed well, with plenty of hand sanitisers and staff wiping down interactive elements and they gave you stylus’ to press screens instead of your fingers.

All in all a decent time was had by all – the stagg were also friendly and efficient, and above all because there was actually less people about it was a much nicer experience!

Nice to see a Cosworth DFV – the most successful F1 engine of all time (above) and some other famous cars.
Some of these are the “proper” F1 cars from when I remember them back in the 80’s!

We finished off with a quick view of the circuit – and watched some Beetles (!) hooning around!
Also a quick look at the old circuit with a murual of some driver or other 😉
